WOW! what a huge difference. With the optical hooked straight into the Audison Bit One this set-up sounds absolutely amazing. We used the Apple iPad camera connection kit $30, and a "CablesToGo" usb audio adapter from NewEgg $30, and a $10 TrippLite toslink cable. The USB Audio adapter supports 16bit 48Khz audio which will allow no loss of quality from the iPad. all music was imported into iTunes from CD with Apple Lossless Encoding.

  60 years ago, when there were no TV's, Computers, or Cell Phones, getting one of these cards as a child would have made their day. When someone gets one of those Digital Music cards today, I ask them to give them to me. I look at them with awe, like looking at new electric helicopters! They are modern marvels for sure. But I always wondered where musical cards got started. This video shows and plays the Barker Music Box Card (circa 1949-1950) from the Barker Music Company, Cincinnati, Ohio. Many of my digital cards have either quit working, play only partially, or the soldered in batteries have died. So there is definitely something to say for the "crank".   House Budget Committee Hearing on the Stimulus July 14, 2010 Opening Statement by Ranking Member Paul Ryan Over a year ago, Congress enacted a stimulus bill that spread huge spending increases across the government. By every objective measure -- from jobs and economic growth to the rising price tag -- the stimulus has failed. It has failed to create the jobs promised. Rather than "save or create" 3 to 4 million jobs, the economy has shed 2.7 million jobs since the stimulus passed. It has failed to keep the unemployment rate below 8% as promised. Unemployment still hovers near 10 percent. It has failed to revive the economy, as growth remains sluggish and there are growing fears of a double-dip recession. A year ago, we were told the stimulus would cost us $787 billion. That cost has risen in the latest estimate to $862 billion. The total price eclipses one trillion dollars when you include the borrowing costs. Rather than acknowledge the limitations of this borrow-and-spend approach, the Administration and this Congress have opted to move the goal posts and to double-down. We will likely be told today -- as Americans have been lectured throughout the so-called "Recovery Summer" campaign blitz -- that those promises were based on "miscalculations of the severity of the situation." The proponents will tell us that we should all be grateful that the pain isn't more acute, and that it is not fair to hold policymakers accountable for the failures of their policies. The <b>...</b>

  Malthus or the Fuller Model...
  The Fuller model offers solutions to the current condition along the critical path. Presently we work within the framework of Thomas Malthus whereby we live in the context of resource shortage. The philosophy of Malthus adversely influences both our economic models, our accounting, and allocation systems. Comprehensive anticipatory design science works around the perception of chronic shortage. We have to look at the entire human system and preempt our future needs rather than be constrained. We can design our society to scientific principles thus find the same efficiencies we now enjoy through the geometric efficiency of technological progression. IN terms of society we are quite backwards and static in our thinking. We preclude our ability to find efficiencies in a suburban model. We are in regulatory lock down based on shortage with huge amounts of resources dedicated towards monetary concentration and depletion. Models of depletion draw down human life support as more people seek a higher standard and increased expectations. Our survival depends on a rethink of how we use resources, what we consider to be wealth, and how we bring that wealth in the form of life support to more and more people worldwide.

  Bondo Economics vs The Fuller Model...
  Bondo is body filler; it is also an analogy for the patched up financial system and bond market. The bond market finds itself at the point of change and something may shortly happen. We know pension plan money, and captive savings, will be mandated into sovereign and state debt. This is a symptom of failed economic models centered around money and devoid of physical realities. Now we are a "soviet command financial system" where the people that make the rules are the only winners. The solution resides in the Fuller model rather than in outmoded economic theories that are totally incompetent.
